Agneepath Scheme | Myths and Facts-II

Everything seems great and advantageous-people will get jobs, more salary, benefits, one-time amount, bachelor's degree and preference in other jobs. Then why are people protesting? Why is a big debate happening all over the country over this Agneepath scheme?

Hey everyone, Welcome back to Shekhar Arena!

If you haven't yet read the first part of the blog, please do. 1st minus is medical benefits, no pension or gratuity. To clarify 11 lakhs is a one-time amount that any agniveer will get after completing 4 years of service.

In case if the agniveer dies, benefits will not be same as that of a regular Indian army jawan. It is basically creating a class difference as in adhoc and permanent employees.

No security or Settlement

Comparing it to SSC-10-14 years of service which is also not considered a fair scheme, it does not facilitate any permanent security or settlement which is a major factor of people looking for these jobs. There are thousands of cases pending in our courts regarding pension issues of SSC jawans. Not comparing but retirement plan of a 3rd grade government employee is even better than this.

No clarity over recruitment mode

Government has not yet clarified whether this scheme will run in parallel or it will be the only mode of recruitment. As per reports, this will be the only recruitment mode now for Jawans.

Job Security for 4 years only

As of now, candidates prepare for the army for at least 2-3 years so that once they are recruited, they have some job security(at least for 10 years). Bharti Rally which is basically a physical test-part of the recruitment process is really tough. This may decline the keen interest of candidates preparing for army.

Just to give you exact idea, there hasn't been any recruitment since 2019 for Indian Army. Reason being the lockdown and COVID-19. Elections and political rallies didn't help spread covid, army recruits must have done that. This is one of the biggest reasons why the protest started. In the duration of 2017-2019, 1.65 Lac army personnel were recruited. This number should be the same for 2020-2022 or even higher since same number of Jawans retire every year. There is no plan of recovering this shortage. Only 11,500 jawans will be recruited after 4 years(25% of 46000).

The policy makers were quite aware of this. Basically the Agneepath scheme focuses on 2 motives-

A. Decrease in expense of manpower in defense.

B. With the residue money, focus on better weapons and technology.

Both these motives can be accomplished with the scheme but there are lot of cons too. Let us know in comments what you think of the scheme and any suggestions if you have.

Adheen-The Dependent | Not a Movie Review

"Ice, that is brittle can be shattered, while water flows and adapts" . This means 'टूटता कठोर है ,कोमल नहीं'. Have you ever thought why most of our parents want us to guide throughout our childhood and teenage till the time we stand on our feet? Think about this and let  me know in comments. Vacations and Parents I think dependency is a relative term, you may be dependent on someone in one context, independent in other. To all the people living away from their homes, please respond on these two questions? 1. When was the last time you visited your home? Here, home means the place where your parents live. 2. If you visited in last 6 months, did you sit still with them and talked about how life is going, what problems are they facing, are there any health issues or anything else without peeping in your phone? You think they are fine, but wait they are not. Adheen, a short film directed by Yash Verma talks about these intricacies. Rajendra(Sanjay Mishra) fre...

Solitude and Loneliness

Don't you think the root cause of most of our problems is the underlying loneliness that most of us experience in our daily lives today. Let's analyse what is the reason behind and derive some practical solution to this. Basically there are two situations i.e, loneliness and Solitude. In loneliness, you are alone and worried about having no one by your side while solitude is experiencing a whole new world when you are alone. You experience happiness when you are alone. You don't need a second person to be happy. The root cause of our emptiness is that our foundation for living is based on lies. We are stuck in the loop of lie spread by ourselves only and continue exhibiting dual personality. Actually we try to complete our emptiness through other things, actions and relationships (people)- don't we? As a consequence, we become more dependable on those things, actions or people. This dependency could be at physical, psychological, financial or even at mental level....

Bihar and the Education System | Bihar mein bahar h

He was completely demoralized, analysing where did he go wrong. Was his preparation not apt enough to crack the interview? Didn't he had the technical knowledge, the profile required- all this was whirling in his head, while he sat in disguise with a cup of tea. Welcome back to Shekhar Arena!  Hope you are doing fine. Today, I will tell you a story- a story of our friends, students and the teachers! There is this friend of mine who was attending an Off-Campus placement drive of a reputed MNC. He did his graduation in computer applications from a renowned institute of Bihar. 6 out of 49 students cleared the aptitude test. There he met another guy about whom he said later that guy was technically sound than him. This guy did his graduation from same renowned institute, located in another city of our state. The technical round was a WhatsApp video interview and the interviewer asked scenario based questions. He was dumbstruck, didn't understand the questions well-answers of...
