Bihar and the Education System | Bihar mein bahar h

He was completely demoralized, analysing where did he go wrong. Was his preparation not apt enough to crack the interview? Didn't he had the technical knowledge, the profile required- all this was whirling in his head, while he sat in disguise with a cup of tea.

Welcome back to Shekhar Arena! Hope you are doing fine. Today, I will tell you a story- a story of our friends, students and the teachers! There is this friend of mine who was attending an Off-Campus placement drive of a reputed MNC. He did his graduation in computer applications from a renowned institute of Bihar. 6 out of 49 students cleared the aptitude test. There he met another guy about whom he said later that guy was technically sound than him. This guy did his graduation from same renowned institute, located in another city of our state. The technical round was a WhatsApp video interview and the interviewer asked scenario based questions. He was dumbstruck, didn't understand the questions well-answers of which he already knew. The same questions, my friend asked him but in a straight forward manner, he answered them all. The only skill he lacked was english communication and i am here trying to understand did he fail that day or, our Education system did? Still figuring out.

If we want to change our education system which is too much required, we have to look beyond the usual concepts. Studies should be focussed on research rather than a competition of mugging up concepts. To make it clear India has produced 0 nobel laureates in Science after independence. According to an ASER report, 83% of the engineers are not fit to be employed. Instead of opening new institutions/colleges/schools, we should innovate, restructure and make relevant changes to our education system that has been unchecked for decades.

Let's  talk about 'The English Rule' in our upcoming blog. Also write down, what changes you want in our education system.

Till then wear face masks, avoid crowded places and take care!

  1. Very realistic concept which is perfectly describing Education system of India where people judge others by their royal branded attires and English communication skill...

  2. I think every school college should have one hour daily discussion between teacher and every student.
So that they can discuss their all problems not only studies but also their daily life problem.
So that they can handle any type of situation in future with ease.

  3. Language should not be any of the criteria on deciding whether anyone is eligible for a job or not. ..ya when it comes to presentation skill that is totally different thing ...
People generally misunderstand tge meaning of presentation skill... Its not at all compulsory that one having good command on english will present nicely ..both are different concept ...
So even for the bihar education system.. they should focus on building presentation skill......

  4. Through launguage , Intelligence of a person cannot be defined a person could be more intelligent and sound if we remove our mind set that a specific language is very much important. INTELLIGENCE doesnt require any language.

    1. Yeah, right!
This mindset needs to be changed. Also, there is no disadvantage in learning English as a mode of communication.

  5. Our education system doesn't focues on skill development rather focues on therotical knowledge which is not beneficial ...there is a strong requirement to change it...

  8. Very well said , " If we want to change our education system, we need to think beyond the usual concepts." It's not only about communication skills but there are lots of things which we need to update in our education system. As we all know, In India you have to fill the pages then only you will get good marks but no body is looking for the content. And it's a harsh reality!

  9. "It appears that the system is only spoiling the future generation as only formality of school education is done in this state."

"The system cannot be improved so long the officials are allowed to educate their wards outside the State of Bihar. The system can only be improved if all the officials of the State are compelled to keep their wards in the Government run Educational Institutions; only then the officials will see the upliftment of the standard of education."

The above statement by Honorable Supreme Court clearly justifies the reforms in the education sector which needs to be amended.

Anyways, you presented it perfectly in this need of hour, j must admit. Happy Posting!

Today we will let you know about a person who all of us should know for the noble cause she did to the society without asking anything in return. Today we will talk about MAI- that's what her kids and people who knew her called out of love and affection.  At the age of 20, she was sitting, crying at a station and had a 10-day baby with her. She saw another beggar crying in loneliness and disgrace. The person wanted to have some water before death. She went to the beggar, offered him roti so that he can have food and water before he dies. Fortunately the beggar didn't die nor did Sindhutai. She started "Sanmati Baal Niketan" for orphans and beggars. In today's world where everyone is thriving b...
