Adheen-The Dependent | Not a Movie Review

"Ice, that is brittle can be shattered, while water flows and adapts" . This means 'टूटता कठोर है ,कोमल नहीं'. Have you ever thought why most of our parents want us to guide throughout our childhood and teenage till the time we stand on our feet? Think about this and let  me know in comments.

Vacations and Parents
I think dependency is a relative term, you may be dependent on someone in one context, independent in other. To all the people living away from their homes, please respond on these two questions?
1. When was the last time you visited your home? Here, home means the place where your parents live.
2. If you visited in last 6 months, did you sit still with them and talked about how life is going, what problems are they facing, are there any health issues or anything else without peeping in your phone? You think they are fine, but wait they are not.

Adheen, a short film directed by Yash Verma talks about these intricacies. Rajendra(Sanjay Mishra) frees his wife by injecting some poison in her medicines. Sounds very rude, no? Watch the video and come again. His children stand against this decision.  He tells them if they can take care of their mother, they can keep her alive by injecting an antidote to the poison.

How different are we from our neighbors when it comes to taking care of our parents. In the beginning people visit, then they call to show concern and eventually it all fades into silence. Rajendra, the protagonist prepared meals for his wife while she toils hard at office. After returning home, she would eat the food and say -Thank You! That meant a world to him.

We need to understand the fact that they are our parents only. Take care of them, make them the morning tea, go to an evening walk with them and talk about how things are around, drive them to the doctor when they are ill. Don't forget, they only taught you how to stand and walk through life.

Comment down your views and  experiences. Do let me know what topics should I pen downabout in upcoming blogs.

Till then, Take care. Be happy😀

  6. The idea is quite nice but you have to agree that Indian parents sometimes impose a lot of their ideas and ideals on the kid which are no more relevant to this era of time, maybe when they were kids but not now.

This is something that needs to be changed and it can only be done by our generation 😊

Anubhav Dubey | Chai Sutta Bar

Started with a minimal capital of 3 lakhs, Chai Sutta Bar  (CSB as we say) has a turnover of more than 100 crores. It has 400 franchise outlets spread across India and abroad including Dubai, Muscat and Nepal. Welcome to ShekharArena! Today we will let you know about Chai Sutta Bar and elements of business that have helped them achieve this feat. Till today, Chai Sutta Bar is a bootstrapped business. Bootstrapped means they haven't taken any loans or external investments to fund their business. Product Range: Initially they kept adding new products to the inventory and made it to 200 products. This is a common mistake that most early age investors do. Menu design should focus on how we can maximize no of products with less raw materials, less resources and same SOP with little modifications. Irrfan Khan | Redefining Versatility

In 1988, people might not have noticed a lean  and thin actor playing a small role in Meera Nair's Salaam Bombay. Who knew this actor would redefine versatile acting in Indian cinema. From establishing himself as one of the finest actors of Indian cinema to playing crucial roles in Hollywood movies like Life of Pi, The Namesake, Slumdog Millionaire, The mighty heart and the amazing spiderman. His ability of acting from eyes, subtle art of dialogue delivery, playing romantic roles to playing a dacait of beehad in Paan Singh Tomar-This combination is rare. Very rare. Born in Jaipur, his childhood was spent in a small village 'tonk'. From childhood itself, he was inclined towards acting especially seeing Naseerudin Shah's movies. Salaam Bombay to The Namesake Story In days of NSD itself, Irrfan was offered a big role in Salaam Bombay by Meera Nair. He even started attending the workshop in bombay. But 2 days before the shoot started, he was told that he's no mo...
