The Practical Side of Coronavirus-2

In India, major portion (almost 80-90%)of the entire population is young. But how does this matter? In the last blog, we analyzed the actual situation of COVID 19, based on some statistics. Welcome back to Shekhar Arena! Upon some calculation based on statistical measures, we derived at the fact that there can be as many as 1 crore cases in India given adequate no of tests are performed. Some recent reports signal a much better recovery rate in most of the states. But still there is no guaranteed way to stop this spread. It might multiply to 2 or, even 5 crores. Looks terrible, no? Again it's  a fragment of the entire picture. A better aspect to this is herd immunity that we have achieved over the lockdown period. If more and more people are affected by the virus, there are antibodies developed to fight against the virus and then the spread can be pretty low. The question is till what time you can sit at home. That's the reason why the government is unlocking the lock...

The Practical side of Coronavirus

Are you in fear or, worried with the increasing no of COVID cases in last 10 days? That's normal. Most of us are. This is because we generally see a fragment and derive conclusion instead of analyzing the complete picture. The no of cases in India is roughly around 80k including 2500 deaths. 10 days ago, it was 40k cases. On an average cases have increased from 2000 cases per day to 4000 cases per day. So, cases are increasing very rapidly , right?. Yes it is true but it's not the complete picture. Actually, the no of tests have increased drastically. Say if there were 10k tests performed per day 10 days back, today around 1lac tests are done daily and so is the increase in the no of cases. This fact is not discussed anywhere on TV, or in media. So actually neither the cases are increasing not the virus is spreading the way it looks like. Let's do a simple math. If out of 10 lac tests, 40k positive cases were there and after 20 lac tests 80k cases are there that is...
