Irrfan Khan | Redefining Versatility

In 1988, people might not have noticed a lean  and thin actor playing a small role in Meera Nair's Salaam Bombay. Who knew this actor would redefine versatile acting in Indian cinema. From establishing himself as one of the finest actors of Indian cinema to playing crucial roles in Hollywood movies like Life of Pi, The Namesake, Slumdog Millionaire, The mighty heart and the amazing spiderman. His ability of acting from eyes, subtle art of dialogue delivery, playing romantic roles to playing a dacait of beehad in Paan Singh Tomar-This combination is rare. Very rare.

Born in Jaipur, his childhood was spent in a small village 'tonk'. From childhood itself, he was inclined towards acting especially seeing Naseerudin Shah's movies.

Salaam Bombay to The Namesake Story
In days of NSD itself, Irrfan was offered a big role in Salaam Bombay by Meera Nair. He even started attending the workshop in bombay. But 2 days before the shoot started, he was told that he's no more part of the film. Instead he was given a small role. He cried that whole night. 18 years after this incident, Meera Nair waived off this loan when she offered him the role of Ashok Ganguly in The Namesake movie. Sharmeela tagore after seeing his role in the movie wrote a message to Irrfan-Thank your mother and father who gave you birth.

"Beehad mein baaghi hote hain, dacait hote hain parliament mein"-The huge round of applause, the audience honoured after hearing this dialogue of Paan Singh Tomar in the movie hall was not only because of the subtle dialogue delivery but also because of the subtle art that everyone just believed this fact although it was not truth. Irrfan won the National award for this 2012 film.

Irrfan redefining love and Romanticism
"Mohabbat hai isi liye  jaane diya...Zidd hoti to baahon mein hoti"- this dialogue from Jazba movie to playing the lovely role of Saajan Fernandes in Lunch Box, Irrfan always made the audience believe that the role couldn't have been done more justice by any other actor. These roles were made for Irrfan only.

Amid all this, Why was his death so personal to most of us? Everyone. Everywhere is gutted. Perhaps because he proved that success is not hereditary. That talent with hardwork will rise, always. That destiny looks after those who are meant to be.
Thank you for making us believe, legend!

Rest in Peace🙏

Do let us know which roles of Irrfan you love the most and the reason behind.

  3. The one who loved his work more then his look in this era was already a versatile personality. He has taught to all kind of generation that let the success come to you, you just have to believe in yourself that you are the only one that can do this work.
His work used to loved by everyone not because he was good actor but because he always lives and enjoy the
    character.

Solitude and Loneliness

Don't you think the root cause of most of our problems is the underlying loneliness that most of us experience in our daily lives today. Let's analyse what is the reason behind and derive some practical solution to this. Basically there are two situations i.e, loneliness and Solitude. In loneliness, you are alone and worried about having no one by your side while solitude is experiencing a whole new world when you are alone. You experience happiness when you are alone. You don't need a second person to be happy. The root cause of our emptiness is that our foundation for living is based on lies. We are stuck in the loop of lie spread by ourselves only and continue exhibiting dual personality. Actually we try to complete our emptiness through other things, actions and relationships (people)- don't we? As a consequence, we become more dependable on those things, actions or people. This dependency could be at physical, psychological, financial or even at mental level....

Don't let Social Media Ruin You

Are you one of those people who spend 4-5 hrs on social media daily. Then this is a must read for you.  Starting with what is social Media?Wikipedia says "Social media are Interactive computer-mediated technologies that facilitate the creation and sharing of information, ideas, career interests and other forms of expression via virtual communities and networks. The popular ones are Facebook(and its messenger),Instagram,Twitter,Snapchat,Youtube,LinkedIn,Google+,Pinterest and Tumblr to name a few. Now ,why are we talking on this? Is it really significant.A research says "By 2020,60% of our country's total population will be present on any one or more if these platforms." On an average,a general user spends 3-4 hrs daily on these platforms. And guess what the returns on this investment are 0,and even negative in various scenarios. Guessing how?-- let's do a simple calculation: 1.3-4 hrs of our valuable 24hrs that would never come back. 2. There are no econom...

A letter to Jersey No. 7 | The Captain Cool!

Dear Maahi, A very Happy Birthday! Hope you are doing fine. 'Dhoni finishes off in style, a magnificent strike into the crowd. India lifts the World Cup after 28 years. The party starts in the dressing room and it's an indian captain who's been absolutely magnificent in the night of the final'. I can feel this entire comment, it's  not a comment any more. This is a letter from a not so typical cricket lover to a living legend. I want to let you know three of the many things I have learnt from you. 1. There is always more time than you think.  I personally believe statistics tell it all. You have been not out 50 times in ODI, out of these 50 ocassions-India won 47 matches. You have always lived this lesson. 2. Don't think of what'll happen in next 20/30 years. Plan about what are we going to do tomorrow or, a day after. You have always exhibited the subtle art of doing more and expecting less. I believe this  is a solution to multiple issues of our...
