Holistic Approach to deal Depression

Every second person in today's world including teenagers are talking of being depressed. We shall know first what exactly is depression?https://www.shekharsarena.blogspot.com Is depression on the psychological level only or, it affects the physical level also?

We have a tendency to look at a particular aspect of a problem. What's actually needed is a holistic (end to end observation of the problem) approach towards every problem. At psychological level, causes of depression can be expectations- own as well as others. Numerous failures can also be a reason resulting in the person thinking of his inability to perform. Here it is important to know that no other person in the world can work at your psychological level, you and only you have to conquer this level.
Let's think of our mood. When we are sad, we like  listening to sad music which makes more sad. This is because of the release of stress harmone- Cortisol. This is basically how psychological stress builds up.

Those were some psychological causes, but what about physical ones. Sometimes you might have observed situations in which nothing happened to you but you were feeling bad and restless. For example, the state of sickness. Diving a little into medical facts, some chemicals such as Serotonin and Dopamine should release normally in the body. When we are sick, the medical dose helps in artificial release of these chemicals. Basically the medication is based on the symptoms rather than the cause.

When you observe minutely you will understand that the physical reason for stress is "the fuel". By fuel here I mean all the five fundamental elements- earth, water, fire, food ,and air. Lack of any of these elements can lead to stress. If you are hungry, you can be stressful...If you are thirsty, you can be stressful and hence forth. Ayurveda also tells that "Stomach is the root cause of every disease" So take care of your fuel and you will not have any stress. For diet, avoid white food material including sugar, salt and white bread 🍞 etc.
Think of a situation in which you are left in a dark room for 4-5 days. You have the access to food and water but after 5 days when you come out you will be stressed for sure because of lack of sunlight(fire) fuel.

One most dangerous impact of medication is that the person needs to increase the  now dose everya now and then that has side effects also. So focus on the cause instead of symptoms.

That's all for the day. Be stress free.

Live... Smile...Love.

  1. All the things above mentioned is true and its remedies are also good. Depression are interconnected with both psychology and physical health of a person. A persons physical health provides energy to brain to fight with depression. And as u mentioned above that a person has to fight with ownself psychology to overcome depression is the best remedy. And for that a person has to be mentally strong by not letting him down to his or her failure, he has to think about his acheivement in past , the group of people who love them and to think about his strength. And also try to avoid those feeling which is grabbing him to feel guilty or depressed. Sometimes in depression, a large no of random thoughts comes into mind and makes the person feel low and by continuously thinking about those random thoughts makes u more depressed. So one should start to understand that these thoughts are making him more sick and try to eliminate those thoughts and only try to think about those things which make them pleasant.

Solitude and Loneliness

Don't you think the root cause of most of our problems is the underlying loneliness that most of us experience in our daily lives today. Let's analyse what is the reason behind and derive some practical solution to this. Basically there are two situations i.e, loneliness and Solitude. In loneliness, you are alone and worried about having no one by your side while solitude is experiencing a whole new world when you are alone. You experience happiness when you are alone. You don't need a second person to be happy. The root cause of our emptiness is that our foundation for living is based on lies. We are stuck in the loop of lie spread by ourselves only and continue exhibiting dual personality. Actually we try to complete our emptiness through other things, actions and relationships (people)- don't we? As a consequence, we become more dependable on those things, actions or people. This dependency could be at physical, psychological, financial or even at mental level....

A letter to Jersey No. 7 | The Captain Cool!

Dear Maahi, A very Happy Birthday! Hope you are doing fine. 'Dhoni finishes off in style, a magnificent strike into the crowd. India lifts the World Cup after 28 years. The party starts in the dressing room and it's an indian captain who's been absolutely magnificent in the night of the final'. I can feel this entire comment, it's  not a comment any more. This is a letter from a not so typical cricket lover to a living legend. I want to let you know three of the many things I have learnt from you. 1. There is always more time than you think.  I personally believe statistics tell it all. You have been not out 50 times in ODI, out of these 50 ocassions-India won 47 matches. You have always lived this lesson. 2. Don't think of what'll happen in next 20/30 years. Plan about what are we going to do tomorrow or, a day after. You have always exhibited the subtle art of doing more and expecting less. I believe this  is a solution to multiple issues of our...
