Anubhav Dubey | Chai Sutta Bar

Started with a minimal capital of 3 lakhs, Chai Sutta Bar  (CSB as we say) has a turnover of more than 100 crores. It has 400 franchise outlets spread across India and abroad including Dubai, Muscat and Nepal. Welcome to ShekharArena! Today we will let you know about Chai Sutta Bar and elements of business that have helped them achieve this feat. Till today, Chai Sutta Bar is a bootstrapped business. Bootstrapped means they haven't taken any loans or external investments to fund their business. Product Range: Initially they kept adding new products to the inventory and made it to 200 products. This is a common mistake that most early age investors do. Menu design should focus on how we can maximize no of products with less raw materials, less resources and same SOP with little modifications. They learnt it the hard way and now they serve only 21 products. Initial Team: The initial team structure should align with your vision. Not only the team should give 200% efforts plus can prov...

Expiry of Water | Solutions

According to a Reuters report, we use 40 billion plastic bottles every month,1.3 billion every day,54.9 M every hour and 1 M(10 lakhs) bottles every minute. Assume how fast these plastic-borne diseases can spread among us. Welcome back to Shekhar Arena! In the last blog, we talked about how aggressively we drink water in plastic bottles and their adverse impacts. If you haven't read the blog, link is in comments. We will be discussing about what feasible solutions we do have to tackle this issue. You might be wondering what other option do we have. Almost all water bottles readily available in market are made up of plastic. What can we do? Carry our own water bottle. This may sound a bit inconvenient but it is one of the most effective solutions. Do buy a reusable bottle and carry it everywhere we go. This will not add any further plastic into nature. Carrying these bottles everywhere is not convenient Yes it's not but it is our choice whether we want to face diseases like can...

Expiry of Water | Shekhar Arena

You are enjoying a day off in a park and suddenly you feel thirsty. You pick a bottle of water from a store and drink that water. We all do this a lot on regular basis. What if I tell you this water is expired? Does water expire? There is no expiry of water but the plastic bottle in which it is packed can cause a lot of problems for us. Assuming how? Let us explain. What these plastic bottles does to water is wrong. From getting produced in factories, delivered to markets and till the time we consume this water, it takes approximately 2-3 months. Water stays in these bottles for this long time. Experiments show that this water becomes acidic in nature . This is indicated by PH value. What's PH value? PH i.e., Potential of Hydrogen is a scale used to determine the nature i.e., whether something is acidic, basic or neutral.  PH value of normal water-6.5-8.5 This is slightly alkaline and mostly neutral. PH value of this bottled water: 4, acidic in nature and consuming acidic wat...

Agneepath Scheme | Myths and Facts-II

Everything seems great and advantageous-people will get jobs, more salary, benefits, one-time amount, bachelor's degree and preference in other jobs. Then why are people protesting? Why is a big debate happening all over the country over this Agneepath scheme? Hey everyone, Welcome back to Shekhar Arena! If you haven't yet read the first part of the blog, please do. 1st minus is medical benefits, no pension or gratuity. To clarify 11 lakhs is a one-time amount that any agniveer will get after completing 4 years of service. In case if the agniveer dies, benefits will not be same as that of a regular Indian army jawan. It is basically creating a class difference as in adhoc and permanent employees. No security or Settlement  Comparing it to SSC-10-14 years of service which is also not considered a fair scheme, it does not facilitate any permanent security or settlement which is a major factor of people looking for these jobs. There are thousands of cases pending in our courts reg...

Agneepath Scheme | Myths and Facts

Agneepath is a really good scheme but there are some changes that was required or advices should have been taken from army personnel or general public before the launch. Hey everyone, Welcome back to ShekharArena! Today we will be talking about the Agneepath scheme, pros and cons and how this scheme can change a lot in defense tools, technology and innovation.  Before we get into Pros and cons of the scheme, let's talk about what is the scheme first. Basically there are 2 ways to join armed forces right now- Permanent commission and short service commission i.e., SSC.
